This event is featuring Dr. Cheryl Trudell, Vice President Research, at Imperial. She is working in close collaboration with SAIT-ARIS as a SR co-host and an industry partner to explore applied research in the 21st Century Energy Innovations. She represents Imperial as the vice-chair of Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA) Shareholder Steering Committee, an alliance of oil sands producers, focused on accelerating the pace of improvement in environmental performance in Canada’s oil sands through collaborative action and innovation. Additionally, through Imperial’s Institute for Oil Sands Innovation (IOSI) at the University of Alberta, she works with colleges and universities to conduct groundbreaking research and address key energy and environmental challenges. She is currently leading innovative Oil Sands research at the Calgary Research Centre focusing on “Clean” air, water, land and advanced oil recovery by building upon Imperial’s legacy as the Energy Innovator that has benefitted generations of Canadians across the nation. The results of Imperial’s research will not only benefit Planet, People and Profit, but with SAIT-ARIS this event will strive to engage young Canadians in NSERC’s Full STEAM ahead initiatives.
