What is a Science Rendezvous event?
- Science Rendezvous is a day filled with brilliant and interactive STEAM demonstrations, exciting shows, thought-provoking discussions, mind-blowing explosions, fast paced Science Chases and much more. By organizing a Science Rendezvous event, you can create a unique gathering of like-minded STEAM enthusiasts in your community and create a high-impact event that will welcome the public to get their hands on science.
- A Science Rendezvous event will incorporate local researchers, professionals and organizations. In this way, each Science Rendezvous event showcases STEAM highlights that are relevant to the community. The content and design of each Science Rendezvous event is unique and developed independently, but all of the events benefit from other event experiences and have features and programming in common. All Science Rendezvous events are free and open to the public.
What a Science Rendezvous event is not:
- A Science Rendezvous event isn’t an industry or marketing conference. It isn’t limited to one topic or field.
- A Science Rendezvous event is not organized by or for special-interest political, religious or commercial groups.
- A Science Rendezvous event cannot charge admission or be used to raise money for other organizations, not even for a charity.
- A Science Rendezvous event can’t be co-branded with an institution without affiliation – for a college or university, or for location based events
- A Science Rendezvous event is not focused solely on one STEAM field- chemistry, biology or technology. Diversity of topics is key!
