Science Rendezvous will celebrate 2011 as the UN designated International Year of Chemistry, along with all other disciplines of Science.

May 8, 2010 was the 3rd installment of Science Rendezvous, a unique initiative taking place across partnering university and college campuses and at select research hospitals, cultural, and public sites. Over 1,500 volunteers and leaders in science and technology, representing award-winning Canadian institutions and organizations across the Ontario opened their doors, offering an engaging experience and entertaining look into the fascinating accomplishments of world-class research and activities. From the serious to the quirky, free events and lab tours took place on campuses and in a variety of outdoor and indoor venues across the region, engaging adults, families and youth in a day of fun and exploration.
