The Science and Engineering faculty and students at CBU are participating in a nationwide Celebration of Science. Our event, CBU Science Rendezvous will be held at the MayFlower Mall on May 7th, 2011. CBU. Science Rendezvous is a one day Science festival held on May 7th 2011 to promote Science awareness. It is a fun and interactive way to engage the public and promote and encourage Science at all levels. It is a family-friendly event with exciting demonstrations and interactive exhibits celebrating how Science plays a part in our everyday lives in everything from chemistry, health, art, biology, geology, math, physics, etc.
Each department will have a pavilion set up, where they will run fun demos and activities while teaching about their discipline. In addition “Lets Talk Science” will have a few pavilions as well.

– Learn about Geology, make fossil rubbings or be a mineral detective
– Make waves with Physics
– You don’t miss the water till the well runs dry! Ground Water-Drinking Water-Mine Water. Find out the pH of your pop or the sugar content of juice.
– Experience an Alien Hand with Psychology
– What in the World? - a Project UFO Roadshow (Biology)
– Make your own Mobius strips with Math
– Using Chemistry you can walk on top of water
– See the Stars! Inside a Star lab.
– Experiment with Engineering, learn how robots work
– Have a chat with Darwin, Einstein and Madame Curie
